Lavender

August 30, 2016

I love lavender. I must have over 20 pots on my balcony in chrome troughs with good drainage bought in Homebase. So many are still giving me flowers and the aroma in the evening I am convinced is keeping the dreaded river flies at bay. As long as you do the big cut back Sept/Oct these hardy evergreen plants will just keep giving and giving. I found this website which I’m now in love with and will definitely be making…

Candles and home comforts

August 9, 2016

Finally I’ve found an Aroma Diffuser that does the job and actually looks nice! I’m so exited it’s going down as my best buy of the summer. I’m slightly obsessed by aromas and have a nose like a bloodhound. Homes should first of all smell of ‘nothing’ which means they are fresh and clean. After that it’s a little like putting on a perfume and its all about personal choice. Especially in the evening there will always be a candle…

Didn’t actually put so many up, had a less is more look and I rather liked it. Been on fire since last week having a major sort out of ‘life’ and cupboards. Waiting for the spring just dosen’t work for me by then I want to be looking forward to…

New year decluttering tips!

January 8, 2016

Here are some decluttering tips for 2016 that I put together with the team at Good Housekeeping! 1. Always get a tidy friend to help. We all have one, and it is much easier to declutter with a friend. I swear by it! 2. Declutter little and often, not all in one go or you will go mad. 3. Remember to donate as much as you can to charity – it’s such a good thing and it will go to…

It’s a Cordless World

April 15, 2015

Gtech started it and now everyone is going cordless. So lucky to have been sent the new VAX Air to try out and I really have given it a thorough road test. My house is a mix of flooring, hard soft with loads of stairs. Been using it now for 4 weeks and I can honestly say after initially being sceptical of its ability I love it and not once have I thought “must get my plug in out as…
