My brother in law Gary Webster went on a 2 night business to trip to New York – only to arrive and hit the chaos of Hurricane Irene! He had booked through the British Airways web site, purchasing the flight and hotel as a package. He soon learned that 2 nights was going to turn into 6 and upon checking the legalities it looked like he would have to stump up the money for 3 of the extra nights himself. However… BA Holidays came to the rescue and not only kept him well informed about the flight situation but sorted out his accommodation as well – easing the pain of being over there when he should have been over here!
Sadly I can give no similar praise to Easy Jet following a recent dire experience with them. I am writing a “Seething from Surrey” letter as we speak and shall post up the gory details here soon. Watch this space!
