Cornish Blue

November 14, 2014

Picked a slab of Cornish Blue up at a food fair the other day and now piled into it, verdict delicious and for my taste so much smother and less bitter than Stilton.…

Organic beauty

November 14, 2014

A friend of mine Alan Mackenzie has created this beautiful new range called ‘Extra Care’ I have been a fan of Organic surge for many years their body and bath treatments I’m never without, they fall so easily into my Waitrose basket. This new range is fabulous for a dryer older skin and come in time for those of us who suffer in the winter from the effects of cold wind and dry central heating. Apart from the cleanser, which…

Love my AirRam

November 4, 2014

I’m not a gadget person but I love my AirRam cordless and its little Gtech friend. I must have been amongst the first people to jump on these, first the upright and then the handheld. Definitely the healthy choice when it comes to a pinch of salt. Working with professional chefs I’ve learnt ‘Salt Responsibility’ If used properly it enhances and draws out flavour and when working on savoury dishes constantly do the taste test. Remember it’s easier to add than subtract.…

Dinner Party Wars

November 3, 2014

Discovery Home and Health this week are screening Dinner Party Wars a series I shot in Canada with Chef Corbin Tomaszeski. I can’t tell you the fun we had filming the show, I fell in love with Canada, the people, and worked with one of the best teams in television. The formate is 3 couples all competing to host the best dinner party but unlike ‘Come Dine With Me’ its judged on food by a professional chef and on etiquette…
