Buddie’s bed

February 29, 2012

With Buddie’s old bed in tatters I decided to buy him a new one which in would cushion his arthritic bones, he could get in and out of easily and generally would make a pensioner comfortable and happy. I trawled around the internet and finally landed on the site of an American company with a UK base. Every type of bed for every type of dog is on offer; memory foam, bolsters, covers, liners, dog bed heaven etc. Looking at it now I have a…

Dorothy Purdew’s 80th birthday party

The list is endless. What I also found was this little needlework case which was the first piece of sewing…

A Lovely Success on Valentines!

February 23, 2012

You know how I go on about keeping brown paper in at all times for wrapping gifts… This was Grant’s Valentines Day present wrapped in my favourite, simple and inexpensive way. The big box was a wine decanter from Mappin and Webb and the other is a typographic coordinates print from Bear Graphics. Both were loved Phew. http://www.mappinandwebb.com/product/white-wine-glass-decanter shop@beargraphics.co.uk…

Create & Craft

February 10, 2012

This week I went up to spend 2 days in Peterborough to immerse myself in the products sold by ‘Ideal World’ and in particular ‘Create and Craft’. For the uninitiated Ideal World is a Shopping Channel and C&C grew out of it as the public’s demand for Paper Crafting, Knitting, Pottery, Jewellery making, Needlepoint and many other crafts grew in popularity. In America crafting is big news – Martha Steward was the trail blazer having a regular slot on breakfast…
